Eligiblity Criteria for BPSC


Applicants must fulfil the minimum eligibility conditions regarding age, educational qualification, and other factors to apply for the Bihar PSC Examination. 

  • 1. The BPSC 67th lower age limit eligibility for the candidates is set at 18 while the upper age limits for different categories are different. The General male candidate’s upper age limit is 37 years, the General female and OBC candidate’s upper age limit is 40 years, and the SC and ST candidate’s limit is 42 years.

  • 2. The candidate must either be a citizen of India or a permanent resident of the country with the relevant documents to prove the same.

  • 3. The candidates must provide the documents required during the process of document verification. The candidates that cannot produce these documents will be dismissed from the recruitment.

  • 4. The selection of the candidates depends solely upon their performance in the Preliminary exam, Main exam, and the Interview.

BPSC Eligibility Criteria 

Age Limit

  • The lower age limit for all the candidates is 18 years.
  • The upper age limit for General males is 37 years, for General females and OBC candidates is 40 years, and for SC and ST candidates is 42 years.

Educational Qualification

  • The candidate should have completed their Graduation, or any other equivalent degree, from a Government, recognized college or university.

Nationality

  • It is essential that the candidate be an Indian citizen with the necessary documents to prove the same.
  • The candidate can also be a permanent resident of India, but they must provide Government-issued documents to prove the same. 

Physical Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Height

  • Women candidates – 5 feet 2 inches.

  • General Category (Male) – 5 feet 5 inches. 

  • SC/ST – 5 feet 3 inches. 

Chest

  • General category (Male) – 32 inches. 

  • SC/ST (Male) – 31 inches. 

Note: 

  • 1. For claiming benefits under reservation, candidates need to mention the reservation category in the BPSC online application. 

  • 2. Have a Bihar Domicile.

  • 3. The SC/ST category aspirants seeking reservation need to present the Domicile and Caste Certificate.

  • 4. The BC/OBC aspirants seeking reservation need to present the Domicile and Caste Certificate and Non-Creamy Layer Certificate
